First thing I noticed on the American release of this album that I ordered from eBay for about $7 for Christmas, were the typo's. The sticker on the front reads "17 Stunning Tracks" when there are 16, and inside "Fritz" is misspelled as "Frtiz". Sexy.

Anyway. Dyce consists of 2 main producers and vocalist Sofia Lovgran (an unkempt, & heavily accented cross between Natalie Horler & Kathleen Goosens of Orion Too). Some other producers worked on this album including ALEX MEGANE (dingdingding) which is likely the reason for the German sound on this Swedish album rather than your typical E-Type or Da Buzz Swede trance-pop vibe.

Tomorrow Can Wait:
Single already released November 2005. This version is some simple euro-trance with guitars, old fashioned & reminiscent of DJ Sammy style. One thing that really bugs me is how the vocals in the chorus have been queued too early; technical issues like that really take away from professionalism in tracks. Also how the word "world" is mumbled by Sofia as "woerrd". Sexy. Still I find the vocal tune very nice with a fresh sound as well as a soft light Megane-type melody. All-in-all good simple opener track, 8/10.

Pictures Left In The Dark:
Released in 2004 on vinyl. This track is VERY Megane-like with a standard sounding eurotrance melody. The verses are pleasing, gentle, and captivating. But the chorus is a bit annoying due to a lethal combo of high pitch, vocoders, and Sofia's goshdarn accent (my main complaint). This is an OK simple song I guess, it gets a 7/10 from me.

World Of Mystery:
I'm liking the breakdown opening the song. It gives way to more classic Megane style with a nice tune and a memorable chorus that doesn't sound annoying like the previous track. My main complaint is that the tempo is a notch too slow which can get boring; otherwise good standardized non-gay eurotrance, 7/10 from me.

Stand Alone:
Released on vinyl in 2004 and as a single in 2005. I assume this is the original version (I'm acquainted with the Club version which IMO is better). It's VERY nice, reminiscent of One More Angel - Breathe (another simple eurotrance song). This original version is marginally more hands-uppy than the club version but not to the point of gayness. Once again, another good simple yet charming track with great vocals, gets a 8/10 rating.

Dangerous:
This track is a bit more like your Da Buzz Swedish style and it's a bit on the housey side (the only time that happens on this album thank God). Some cheesy stutters to start. I think this song would have been somewhat better as trance and the chorus is just cheesy for the same reason as "Pictures Left In The Dark". Very dry track, I give it a 5/10 rating.

Tonight:
Back to a faster trancier Megane type sound. Very captivating and catchy this time, and I love the old school trancey melody (different from Megane's 8th-note boredom style). Not much more to say other than CHOOOON!!!! I give it a 9/10 and I hope it becomes a single.

Beyond The Veil:
It's funny how Sofia loudly announces the title of the track at the very start with her clumsy-sexy-NOT accent. The track goes on to be nice and fast paced again, catchy, marginally more hands-uppy, but not to the point of gayness which is important. In fact it reminds me of old S.A.D. style from 2004 (wish it'd come back) or even modern-day scouse. Notice how dramatic verses dominate this track although all-in-all I would have liked more vocal development. So I give this track a 9/10 rating, thumbs up.

Oceans Apart:
Nice guitars, good vocals, but this track is slower & plainer. What really takes away from the appeal is the strange structure in the chorus which destroys the flow and re-listening appeal of the song and consequently my rating. I give it a 6/10 rating.

Feels:
Nine tracks into the album & we have our first ballad. The beat is filtered, completx, and chillout-y, typical of trance ballads such as Lasgo - Cry. The vocals REALLY don't fit the song well and there is no emotion, so the track's not all that relaxing. Still the chorus is nice sounding. I think this would have made a great Sylver ballad. I give it a 7/10 rating.

Hour Glass:
Here we go, back to Megane style. Notice the awesome square lead hidden in the background a few seconds into the song I think. The verses are quite cheesy because of the accent and too-low key this time but that's OK because the chorus is catchy as hell. This track is pretty much a clone of "World Of Mystery" - a tolerable, really great clone. I also like the fact that there is no leadsynth section which I feel makes eurotrance tracks sound more to-the-point and vocal-driven. Good song, 9/10 rating.

Colors:
Another ballad, not as chillout-y as Feels, but the vocals are nicer this time at least. The track's also a bit '90s sounding with the tacky synths and corny lyrics in chorus. Decent track, oh and notice the nice little key change about 2 minutes into the track. 7/10 rating.

Fairytale:
This track has a sudden start with abrupt vocals and strange orchestral hits not used elsewhere in the album. The track would be better faster, especially because the eurotrancey melo sounds awkward at this slowish tempo. But that's just me being overly fussy; good song, and strong vocals by the way, so I'll give this a 8/10.

Painting:
Ballad track here. It's got some GREAT accoustic guitars to accompany the vocals. And the vocals; wow, they're better than ever on this album. They are soft, emotional, and natural sounding. The accent is quite minimized besides the pronounciation of "peecture". And for once this is a relaxing ballad. Notice the strange heavy delayed snare drums that briefly sound near the end of the song. Such a good song; I give it a 10/10 rating.

Tomorrow Can Wait (Cascada Extended Remix):
This track, leaked in summer 2005, was one of the most awaited Cascada remixes of the year. It was released with the single that fall. (By the way it's still on my cardio playlist in my MP3 player after more than a year; it's the last Cascada remix that's really been a "favourite" of mine.) The intro is fairly standard textbook 2005 Cascada. The vocals suit the Cascada sounds more than the Dyce sounds in my opinion especially with the bells & mini-breakbeat. (Sofia will you please kill Natalie and take her place in Cascada?) I like the melody a lot and I'm guessing a lot of you guys do too. Even though this is a "template" production I still give it a 10/10 rating as I still haven't gotten bored of it yet.

Stand Alone (Extended Club Mix):
This is the version I grew to love during the 2005 release. What sets it apart is its less Megane-like sound than the album version. Maybe it's me but I think the vocals fit this version better. It's just awesome 2003/2004 type eurotrance that I miss, and I give this a 10/10 rating.

World Of Mystery (Extended Mix):
Same production as the radio edit so I won't comment.

Overall this album earns an 8/10 rating which is VERY high for my album standards, higher than any other full length album I've reviewed so far. Please buy the album; you won't be disappointed. If you like old-fashioned eurotrance, vocals-driven rather than production-driven (not much more of that left these days), this is for you.

yeah, i saw part of it last night. I guess he didn't have the surgery after all. I only watched the last 20 minutes of the show. I didn't realize how much time it takes to loose weight. i can't image myself this way. at first i thought these people were

Im not sure if his girlfriend was going out with him because she loved him, i think maybe she liked the publicity of it all and that's why she stuck with him. but only she knows, and there's no reason for me to doubt her. there are kind people in this world after all -

me too, i hope him well, i also watched tlc and after the manuel uribe show, there was another show about some fat people in new york, but i forgot the name of the hospital. there was this black man who had been there for like 4 years and instead of loosing weight, he actually gained weight cuz there were some people in the hospital who were sneaking food to him. My question is, if he doesn't have a place to go live, than were does he get the money to buy all that food?

i watched the show. this guy is awesome. he has a lot of will power to fight this. he needs the encouragment. no one knows how he feels, im sure not good. give him the encouragment he deserves. it is not his fault.
